Ports d’attache : Filming in Thailand

Bangkok, often called the Venice of Southeast Asia, is literally irrigated khlongs, these small channels that were once the main arteries of the city. The boats still there in the thousands, but since it has to make several concrete roads, no urban plan, the movements in the city have become completely chaotic. In an attempt to escape the inevitable caps, all means are good, more rudimentary to more modern: tuk tuks, rickshaws, boats, mopeds, skytrain …

But if the streets are so congested, it is not only due to too much traffic. Bangkok is a city where everything happens in the street. In addition to the huge and teeming markets that litter the city, hundreds of thousands of small shops and food kiosks take place in the streets day and night: shoemaker, dressmaker, locksmith, salesman satay, grilled insects, fruits , ice cream …

The city is bustling, certainly, but its people are friendly people, an impressive calm. And it is probably not unrelated to the fact that we find among this swarm of countless temples, some huge, others more discreet, all a reflection of the unwavering support of citizens to bouddisme.Over 90% of them are practitioners and stop regularly during the week in these places of worship, in addition to spend a good part of their family on weekends. No wonder then to see that the rule of live and let live so well embodied here.
